Nutmeg Sauce

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1-1/2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/4 cups boiling water
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1. Melt butter in 1-quart SAUCE PAN; remove from heat; blend in flour, sugar using MIX-STIR.

2. Blend in egg yolk, vanilla; gradually add boiling water, blending thoroughly.

3. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

4. Stir in nutmeg.

5. Serve warm over gingerbread, spice cake.

About 2 cups sauce.
